As John is the General Manager of OCBC, he will be more aware of business related news and economic changes. He will be visiting professional business websites more frequently such as LinkedIn.

LinkedIn is a platform that is specially designed as a social network for professionals and companies. Companies will be building their profile on LinkedIn to look for work synergies and new business opportunities. The advantages are that it is cost-efficient and businesses from around the world can get connected. It is also the number 1 platform for Business to Business (B2B) generation rated by marketers.
Being a businessman, John will be constantly looking out for good opportunities to improve on his own company. We will first need to work on the profile of our event. The objectives of our event will have to match with OCBC’s. This is very important as sponsors look for objectives that align with theirs. This means that we will have the same goals and targets as them. Having the same objectives will allow both companies to work better together as they will be working towards the same goals.
We will also have to provide more detailed information on our event to allow John to better understand the programs and activities of our event. To drive John to sponsor our event, providing statistics and insights will make him feel reassured. Statistics can be based on the concert that was held 10 years ago and the popularity of Green Day. After knowing there will be a large group of audience attending the concert, John will be willing to consider sponsoring us.
