Longview was their first hit song and it was served as Green Day’s introduction to most fans. One of their more well-known songs is ‘American Idiot’, which the albums were sold over 12 million copies worldwide and they even received the 2005 Grammy Award with it as the best rock album.
Slight Background About Green Day
Green Day is a famous American rock band which debuted in 1987. They were originally known as ‘Sweet Children’ before naming themselves as 'Green Day'. The principal members are Billie Joe Armstrong (lead vocalist & guitarist), Mike Dirnt (bassist) and Tre Cool (drummer). Their songs have a sensible melodic pop and relatable lyrics for most American teenagers nearing the end of 20th century.
